Lepe is a small regional market town in the province of Huelva on the Costa de la Luz in Spain. It is the strawberry capital of the Iberian Peninsula. Literally translating as the Coast of Light, the two main provinces of Huelva and Cadiz are known as the Spanish Algarve due to their close proximity to the Portuguese border. However, it still commands lower property prices than Portugal, in spite of a 15% annual growth rate over the last five years. To the East, property prices on the Costa de la Luz are still 30% to 40% cheaper than on the Costa del Sol.
