Lepe’s Sport

During the Summer, the municipal government promotes many sporting activities. Lepe's most popular sport is windsurfing – which, thanks to the climate, can be practised the whole year long.

During the Summer, the municipal government promotes many sporting activities.

Nautical Sport
Lepe has 12 kilometres of fine, golden sand beaches by clean and clear waters enjoying 3,000 hours of sun a year - the perfect climate for practising nautical sport, such as windsurfing, Kitesurfing and sailing. Kitesurfing is, in fact, one of the most practised water sports, thanks to this climate so suited to it. Most types of sport can also be enjoyed during the whole year.

Islantilla Golf
Islantilla Golf is an ambitious 27-hole resort near the beach between Isla Christina and La Antilla, designed by the trio José Canales, Luis Recasens and Enrique.
Opening in 1992, the course has already hosted several international events, among which were the Turespaña Masters Open in 1995. Set in woodland scenery near La Antlilla, this smoothly undulating, beautiful parkland course is highly enjoyable to play, due to its mainly spacious fairways and greens.
Islantilla Golf is part of an extensive tourist development project in this area, including a yacht harbour.
