Ayamonte’s Beaches

Ayamonte beaches are wide with fine, golden, Atlantic sand. The popular Punta Moral and Isla Canela Beaches are within walking distance of each other.

Punta Moral Beach – Playa Punta de Moral
Punta Moral Beach can be accessed either by walking from Isla Canela's beach or by car until you reach the urbanisation of Punta del Moral. This beach is very different from the beach at Isla Canela since it has few infrastructures: only showers.
Before reaching the beach, you must cross bushy sand dunes. In the sand there are numerous broken clam-shells, which are difficult to distinguish in the sand. There are numerous beach apartments on the first line of this beach, along a paseo - paved promenade – which is lit at night.
A concrete dyke, or mole, with a lighthouse at the end marks the limit of this beach and the beginning of the fishermen's port of Punta del Moral.

Isla Canela Beach – Playa Isla Canela
Isla Canela Beach is the first - or last - beach in the province of Huelva, being adjacent to Portugal.
This beach is extensive and wide. Despite being in an urbanised area, it is calm and agreeable. Before coming to the beach, there is a walk surrounded by vegetation.
Isla Canela beach is very well equipped, much favoured by families with children. It also possesses Chiringuitos – beach bars/restaurants. The accesses to the beach are adapted for the disabled. The wooden foot-bridges extend half way up the beach. From Ayamonte to the urban development of Isla Canela, there is a cycling trail, connected to the highway, which is also used by roller-skaters.
