During the Summer, the municipal government promotes many sporting activities. Ayamonte's most popular sports are Golf and kitesurfing – which, thanks to the climate, can be practised the whole year long.

Ayamonte Golf
This is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Andalusia, consisting of 3 different 9-hole courses.
Holes 1 to 9 are hilly and most require blind second shots. The 2nd hole, a 150m long par 3, features a pond requiring a perfect shot from the tee. Hole 7 is a long par 5, where two perfect shots with woods are required to reach a birdie hole.
Holes 10 to 18 are in surrounding hills and it is practically impossible to find stances with the ball on the same level with your feet. Hole 12, a par 5 dog-leg to the right, requires two perfect fade shots to reach the green in three.
Holes 19 to 27 require long drives, with long pars 4, especially hole 27. The prevailing westerly winds complicate a course, which is challenging in itself.
